YouTube Subscriber Glitch?

I've Got It
So this morning I was at 56 subscribers, then 55, back to 56 but no emails indicating someone had subscribed to me. Was the 55 a glitch?
 
Occasionally, there's a bit of an adjustment. Subs go up and down, but I tend to just look for the trend, and if it's upward, I'm okay.
 
Changes in your subscriber count is normal. Google has a support page dedicated to this topic:

Because this is very common on YouTube, the thread has been locked.

If someone has their privacy settings set up a certain way, I don't believe you will get an email. I haven't received an email for all of the people who have subscribed to my channel. ^^
