YouTube Questions for YTtalkTV

My channel is new. I only started it in February and when I did I verified it and it says I am a YouTube partner. It will predominantly be a gaming channel. If at some point in the future I get a decent amount of active subscribers as well as getting a decent amount of regular video views I might try to look into getting partnered by a gaming network eg Machinima. I have heard rumours that Machinima won't partner you if you are a YouTube partner. Is this true? Or is it just a rumour? I haven't monetized any of my videos, I don't have an AdSense account set up and I am not making any money from my videos.

Any relevent informtaion would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
I have a channel that is primarily focused on retro video game content. I am not active on very many gaming forums these days due to the fact that I just don't like most gaming forum culture. I am active in a couple of places but they don't have huge populations. I also don't want to join a bunch of forums just to spam promotion for my channel as that's not at all appropriate either. Do you have some alternative suggestions on ways to promote a channel focused on this stuff? Thanks!
 
What do you predict being the next big YouTube niche?

Like how gaming and makeup related videos blew up.

This is just my opinion

My thinking is that YouTube is getting so many channels these days, I'm going to stick to one single channel for my Vlogs, Pranks, and other random videos. Even though my videos are different, I'm going to put the same amount of effort into each video.

Think of how EpicMealTime uploaded EpicChef and Deleted Scenes on the main channel. That's very smart thinking in my opinion.

I've only seen very big channels accomplish multiple channels. iJustine, Smosh, FreddiW, etc...
 
How do i promote my channel at tye forum?.....i just simply post about my channel or there is a place for me to share my videos
 
If you are a new user - How to de-link your Google Plus account so that you can create your own Youtube username.
Seriously, if your Google+ account is connected, you cannot have a URL thats just youtube.com/username/ and I went crazy searching the web for a fix for this, but because YouTube has changed layouts so much it was very difficult to find the answer, It is literally the reason I found and joined these forums and it was my second post after my intro. So it is a good piece of advice, in my opinion to tell people how to de-link these accounts and show them a quick how to!!!!!!!!
