I'm pretty sure that's the terminology in the UK and other European countries. Since like 90% of the networks are based in the USA, it's confusing to us, English.

No, Gross being before deductions and Net being after is the same in the UK. To be fair, there are multiple "net" values depending on what you're looking at.

YouTube channels with a network have two net earnings values, and two gross earnings values depending on the starting point you choose. From the YouTube perspective, the gross revenue is the one they list and the net is your estimated earnings. If you discount that everyone has the same YouTube cut removed, the Estimated could be considered Gross and the post-network value could be considered net. But at no point are those terms reversed so that Net comes before Gross.
