Why was I rejected (what to change?)

Well that is likely what it is then. But I will say. The youtube content ID system kinda sucks. It has flagged original compositions of mine, then when they ask for proof, I say that I am the original artist and link photos of the music, and they deny me anyways. Without being partnered or with a record label, Im not even sure how I could prove to them that it is my original music.

It's probably due to the way you are crediting the music. One of our friends composes his own music and ran into the same issue-as soon as he changed the way he was crediting the music in the description, he wasn't flagged anymore by the system.

Mind sharing how he credits his stuff? I havent been crediting my own compositions at all, since they are a tertiary part of my videos. I either wrote small parts on guitar for intro and outtros, or composed my own using garageband for background music (commercial use is within their terms of service, as long as you arent selling the loops as loops).

Previously, he would just put down that all music was "created by me", which led to the flagging.

This was the info in a recent video:

All music performed and written by Michael A.F. Bearden
using Logic Studios
Intro animation was done in Blender and edited with video in Final Cut Pro X
I have no affiliation with any products shown in these videos
Loops provided by Final Cut Pro

if you have a copyright strike no network is going to take you.... regardless of how great your videos may be.

Cool I will try to replicate something similar in the future. thank you for the help and feedback. Now I have some action items for what to improve and change.

They are not copyright strikes. They are rejected monetizations. When I go to my account status, I have no strikes and everything is in the green. ON my video manager however, some videos have been rejected monetization for copyright (even when they werent infringments, as discussed above.
