why does my banner keep dropping quality (SOLVED)

so i made a banner for my new group channel
and for some reason it keeps going from this ,a full hd picture

to the low quality photo thats on our channel



does anyone know why youtube keeps doing this?

if you do can you please tell me how to fix this because i've re uploaded the photo about 10 times now and every time it hasn't worked

Did you save it as .jpeg? That condenses the image to drop in quality.

Ok go to File > Save for web > PNG-24

No problem. Always save as PNG its meant for the web, stays smallish, and looks much better.

I've tried PNG, JPG, JPEG, PNG-24, and PNG-8, and nothing works. Can you help please?

I'm glad you solved it, but I create everything on my channel using Photoshop CS6 and save them as Files > Save As... > Jpeg > Maximum Quality ( 12 ) and never encounter that issue which is kind of odd in my opinion
