Which Types Videos Can We Monetize?

Can i monetize videos about me talking about something like a item or product? For instance i made a vide talking about ios7 features and what we need from it can i monetize that? or a vid about ps4 features?
 
Yes, you can monetize that. It's just like delivering news or doing a product review. It's monetizable :)
 
Yes you can , but check to make sure those videos have NO copyrighted music or content , & your videos aren't third party matched content. But other than that you're fine :)

Just because you use your friends music doesn't mean they will let you monetize. If you are hard pressed to monetize for some reason just avoid music or be prepared to argue with YouTube about it.

YouTube is a huge pain about music.

True i usually dont add music, do you like when people add background music or it doesn't matter? whats your take on background music
 
You have some serious view videos on your channel, so you probably care about monetizing because it will actually make you money.

That being said it seems like unless you are a fairly large channel YouTube will just randomly not monetize videos because of music. I have like 2 or 3 the YouTube just doesn't care about where the music came from, they just aren't going to listen to my appeals for monetization.

If a computer some where recognizes music in your videos sometimes youtube makes you jump through hoops to prove you own the rights. And sometimes they don't care if you own the rights.
