What's Your Upload Workflow?

I was wondering what you guys do every time you upload a video. Hopefully we can share some helpful steps with each other.

For Me:
1. Export Finished Video in ProRes
2. Transcode into .mp4 h.264 for YT
3. Click Upload (I usually upload it the night before and set it to publish the next day)
4. Type my title: Usually a catchy title that noticeable and has keywords
5. Write the tagline: It is the first sentence of the description (usually something witty)
6. Credit the actors and crew
7. Paste in links: Sub, Facebook, Twitter, Website etc.
8. Then I use http://full.sc/K06nZn two find good tags (use "good tag"; good tag)(More=Better)
9. Copy those tags and put them in the bottom of the description
9a. Make annotations to Thumbs Up, Subscribe and link to last video
10. Create and Upload a thumbnail for the video (clear, eye-catching and fun)
11. Share to my Facebook, Twitter and Email to some people
12. Share to Stumple Upon, websites like this and reddit
13. Update my channel page and add the video to correct playlists
14. Add it to my show "FountainFilm"
15. Make it a video response to your previous video
16. Like and Favorite it
17. Respond to as many comments as possible
18. Promote Promote Promote

is this the right forum for this conversation? Or should I have posted it in Promotion and Technique?

My workflow is pretty similar, except that I usually have a money site (or affiliate link) to drive traffic to, which I put right after the first words in the description (to keep the URL above the 'more' button.

I also ping the video on either bulk ping or pingler, drive a link wheel and link pyramid to the video, have the video bookmarked on 600 social bookmarking sites, have blogs created around the video(s).

You can cut out the social networking step (where you promote it there) by just linking your YouTube and Facebook/twitter accounts :) might save you more time :/

Can you go into more detail? What is pinging? Whats a link wheel and how do you drive it? What is a link pyramid? How does bookmarking help?
Thanks

My Old Channel:

  6. Write a Description for the video
  7. Upload the video
  8. paste the description in the video
  9. Promote!
My Partnered Channel:
  1. Record the video
  2. Export it from my Camera to PC
  3. Import to editing software
  4. Add Text/Speed Up Parts
  5. Render Video
  6. Write a description

I pretty much do the same thing except for the bolded parts. Step 8 is something I need to do. What exactly do you mean by "good tag" and more=better?
I believe step 10 is only available for partnered youtubers, correct?
I make make video responses, but usually to other peoples video.

Just make sure you have a lot of tags.
Thumbnail is only for partners.
If you make video responses to your own video, they are more likely to show up in the related videos of your own videos.
It makes a link chain

Pinging is a way to tell Google that there's something new to look at and index. Adding the links and bookmarks help get the videos ranked higher/faster on Google. A link wheel and a link pyramid are setups where tons of back links are driven to sites that mention your video and point back to it (in a nutshell). The more back links headed towards your video the more likely it is to rank on page 1 of Google (and YouTube).
