Is there a way to find out what topics are trending for a particular subject? For example I would like to be able to see what's popular in the month of August related to baking.

I like to use Google Trends. You can use the menu to narrow down by date, country, etc. Includes a section for YouTube trends as well.

Look up something like meals for hot days, summer meals, refreshing cake, etc. You just have to think of what's associated with August or whatever topic it is, you may not always search for the specific topic by name. This is how I find a lot of places that share my videos...

For example, for dog sites, on Facebook I look for dogs, pets, puppies, wag (for tail wag), paw, etc. You just have to think of what's associated with the topic.
