What's the difference between youtube and channel partners?

Regarding the small channel thing, why so? And what is considered small channel? I have about a thousand subs now over the course of 3 months. Is that already considered big enough to profit from fullscreen?

Because networks like Fullscreen have a threshold of $100. Which means they do not earn anything until they reach that amount. Even still, you won't even keep the full amount, you will keep $70 because then the network's cut takes place. For smaller channels, it would take a long time to profit off of Fullscreen and to earn that amount. Even at your size. That's why it's better to look at a network which doesn't have such a threshold.[DOUBLEPOST=1372598766,1372598688][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, waiting until you are a larger channel means you can benefit more because you will be more likely to be able to negotiate with a network for a better revenue share/branding deals/support etc.

I'm interested in whatever answers come in as well. What does it take to get the "YouTube Partner" badge on here? What's the formal process on YouTube to becoming a partner and how does joining a network (can someone name some besides FullScreen) affect you. What services do they provide?
On YouTube you can apply to monetise your videos, check out their partners page by clicking the link at the bottom of the homepage (or any YouTube page).

There's a list of networks stickied, I believe.

Services vary, but they can cover some copyright issues, provide audio libraries, tools for links, advertising campaigns... etc.
