Vlog Whats that thing missing from your Vlogs to make it GREAT?

Hey Guys,
So one big question I have been asking myself while posting my Vlogs is // WHAT IS MY VLOG MISSING? Its so easy to like you own work, but the real Question is how do others see your work.

So for this thread I want to look at some peoples work and let them honestly know what I think (please don't just nit pick its easy to find issues when your looking) try and watch the video like you watch any other video on youtube.

So for any Vlog of mine you let me know what YOU think Ill go and look at yours and let you know what I think.

Also lets help each other out and shoot a LIKE and a SUBSCRIBE.

Had a skim through one of your vlogs - very noice! Your production quality is good, your editing is good too however there's always room for improvement. Watching other popular vloggers, purchasing new equipment, gaining sponsored trips, watching editing tutorials etc etc would be an awesome way to develop the quality of your content :)

Good the music you have on your channel is awesome, I love the graphics/ pictures bring the whole mood of the song up, just subbed (wish the music was CC so I could use it in the Vlogs)

Thanks for the thoughts, yeah I just feel like for random people to get invested in my channel Im missing something ? maybe I need to do more stuff with friends not sure, but thanks for your thoughts mate.

Thanks :) Yeah, I'm planning on making a playlist with CC music in it in the future.

No problem dude! Just go with what feels right and just have as much fun with as you can, that's all that matters :)

So I've just watched a couple of your vlogs. And I really like how you film and edit your videos! I can tell you know what you're doing :)

As for the part of what I think you are missing... I love watching vlogs because I love people's personalities. That's why I want to follow them on their adventures in life. And in your videos I can't see too much of personalities (kids, wife, girfliend, YOU!!!). There're a lot of general (yet beautiful) clips of details, nature. This is awesome. But I would like to know YOU more through your vlogs!

Just my thoughts!

Good music and good looking channel with a certain theme overall.
 
Do you live in Hawaii? If so I do too! I loved your video. It felt more like a video diary rather than a vlog which I personally love. But if you are going more for a vlog then maybe try balancing the montages with more talking. Still checking out your channel but I just subbed :)

Hey ! thanks for the feedback, I think you are right sometime I feel silly (which I shouldn't) and just lay out the facts and not truly show who I am. Which should be the focus of vlogs. What I love about Vlogs the most is thinking about my children having them, so much better then any photo album.

I do video work for weddings and stuff the Vlog is just to keep me busy :)

Yeah I think your right, sometime I try to through stuff together even when I haven't filmed them right. I need to have more of a plan lol.. Yeah I live right outside of honolulu city! love it here

Just watched a few of your Videos, you have a lot of content love how personal you are on camera. You definitely seem very comfortable.

One thing I would suggest is after you have finished your edit go back through once or twice more and cut out anything that might make it seem a little long. The content is great I would only cut a few clips down to keep the pace up a bit..

what do you use to edit ?

Thanks ! Well I use a lot of random cameras lol for my most resent I shot all on the iPhone 6s. But I also use a nikon 1 j5 and I have a Canon C100, and 5d.. But I would say the majority of my videos were shot with the little point and shoot Nikon 1j5
