What tools do people use to do animations

I Love YTtalk
As well as being a youtube gamer I also had a idea of a youtube animator. But what tools do people use to do animations such as asdf and eddsworld. Just wondering how they are made. Any response then thanks.
 
i used maya which is awesome but i havent uploaded any of my animations as i really cba but i suggest you use that as its amazing its what pixar uses :)
