Related to content and demographics as the largest factor, but yeah, seasonal changes definitely effect it.

This year January was s**t as normal but first week of February it picked up across the board for gaming at least so that was awesome. In past years the slump has lasted longer.

As for CPMs, well some networks are DEFINITELY better than others. My network's average CPM is several dollars higher than every other network I talked with and who shared their own averages.

say whaaaaaat? CPM is about the advertisers. So winter is good, because of the kinds of adverts they can put (CHRISTMAS YES WHOOHOO).

Summer is also good. (SUMMER STUFF YAY)

Sorry but you are off, it doesn't matter what kind of advertisements are there if no one is watching youtubers don't get paid, winter, fall and spring people are usually at work or in school. During summer people take vacations and breaks causing them to watch less. So summer is pretty much the worse in terms of earning and views as compared to the other 3 seasons.
