What I Learned While Gaining My First 1,000 Subs

Very solid points. Although, I do think depending on the game that the length doesn't matter TOO much for Let's Players. Take a horror game that I'm doing for example. There is a lot going on all the time and it takes a while to do something small in said game. For those games it is easy to stay entertaining and energetic obviously due to the atmosphere and what have you. At that point I do think that making a compilation after the Let's Play is done is an easy way to show your progress throughout the series and how you have maybe grown as a creator. But that's just me. Let me know if you guys have any other thoughts but this is mainly my stance on the whole Let's Playing scene.

Really great tips. I took to heart the advice about not monetizing my videos right away. It makes sense to me now. I just turned off monetization on all my videos for the time being. I'm only at 82 subs. Now I'm wondering how much traffic should I wait to see before I turn monetization back on. Any suggestions anyone?
