I Love YTtalk
So I used to post a lot of gaming videos before I genuinely got burnt out on making them, and honestly gaming is one of the hardest things to stand out in. Personally, I watch a lot of people who play games on YT, and the two things that all of them have in common is that I'm drawn to their personality and how they edit their videos.
I love people who are sarcastic or just act really stupid when playing games, and I love channels that edit in stuff to go with their gameplay and all that! For example, I watch OneyPlays religiously (especially their Kingdom Hearts videos) because they just really have that kind of dumb guy humor that I'm into, plus they do stupid voices a lot which always gets me. Another Youtuber that I watch religiously regarding gameplay is Uberhaxornova, but then again I've been watching him since I was in middle school and that was before his editing was genuinely hilarious. He adds in stuff with his facecams that just bring a new level of humor to what he's saying sometimes and I'm really into that.
Other than that, personally sometimes you have to branch out and do other things than just gaming videos; because I got burnt out on doing gaming videos I started doing commentary stuff with gameplay in the background, and now occasionally I'll do my commentary on gaming subjects (for example, I'll talk about how people think overwatch is sexist and stuff like that and debunk those claims).
Idk thats just my personal experience, but honestly sometimes to stand out you really do have to get out of your comfort zone regarding your content and try a ton of different things (that you want to do and like of course!) to see what sticks!
