Was asked to become a partner, but this didn't sell me.

Now that's something interesting. :) I am still un- partnered, and doing not bad (maybe because I don't know any better) but single handed-ly I brought a video to 400k views, would I have benefited more from a network? somehow I doubt this, I am happy with my result now; I want to know how to make things better but not at the expanse of losing what I already got.

Right, HOW is the question LOL. I just read previous threads on this forum and all the complaints kill me. I want to move further with my channel, I just don't know if this partner crap is going to do it. These partners some out the woodwork, I feel like I can make my own network; All I have to do is call Google AdSense and push ads with their sales reps.. hey this gives me an idea.. heh :D

you don't gain any views from being a partners i have 60ok on one of my vids nothing from them. you join for the cash thats about it. And easier monetization.

I thought you get "promoted" through their campaigns, such as "featured video" campaigns and utilize partner network of swapping related vids across a multi-channel web, to circulate promotions. I guess this isn't true; horrible they don't do this.

Brings me back to my original question in regards to monetzation, how do you earn more (if they don't help you gain an audience) while splitting a cut with them (after Google's cut); the formula kind of plays against the user, no? I'm not grasping the concept correctly, people post what they get on here and the earnings are retarded; what they signed up for two years I can skill better in a month (though it does fluctuate), I just don't get it. :(

I would have to say that Shane can help you out here :)

They feature upcoming talent that makes them cash... or say you go viral they will post your video sometimes to earn more money. Its still a great deal to join a network as you really can make morefash then adsense. Withyour kind of views you have barganing room. Sign of for a 1 year contract at 90/10 split

Getting tired of the recycled same old, same old recruiter messages from supposed "up coming networks" or "fastest growing network" saying the same thing over and over. I totally agree with what you put in the OP.

Let me add a little extra:

4.Your income is increased by getting more relevant and more expensive
advertising on our network that we directly get from YouTube advertisers .

Google places adverts that suit the viewer so it's mostly relevant advertisements anyway and you don't have to join a Network for YouTube to place direct double-click sales for your specific demographic on your video(s). You may however, get reserved premium advertisements for MCNs on YouTube and any direct sales with the company and your Network to place ads against your content (never happens often if at all unless you're RWJ). They fail to mention WHY you MIGHT receive higher revenue than with YouTube.

8.Support from us: All the information is shown in the YouTube Analytic which can be used for tracking your channel population.

Indeed any YouTube partner with or without a Network now has to check Analytics for revenue reports now Adsense has moved its reporting to YTA. It sounds like they are giving you something special? YouTube Analytics has been around since 2008...

If they don't want to put at least some effort and explain what you actually get in return for signing away X percent of your earnings then they do not deserve any attention at all. Considering in the message they say "YouTube Analytic" leads me to think you probably wouldn't even be able to get the support you want from a proper English speaking person.

I absolutely agree, that was my initial reason for fuming. These guys (along with a few other networks who PMed me which I won't mention) all give me the same pitch, offering me what I already have but for a cut off what I am currently doing which makes no sense. I even engaged in a phone call with one who promised higher ranking ads in return to an agreement on a residual earning plan, but after a "certain" amount of time. These guys are very deceptive, my only interest to begin with was the fact that networks became a big talk among the communities I joined but I still don't feel the least bit secure in signing off what took me over two years to put together away for a shaky, sneaky deal.

Ah well, I guess I will remain a lone wolf until something that actually can prove to show results come along. I can't believe they don't offer video promotion, I would imagine they would focus on your high end content, try and distribute it among their members and circulate to target as much audience as possible so everyone earns, instead they flip a switch and mooch off.. grr..

Best to remain independent unless you know what you are getting yourself into and know the ins and outs of a partnership with a network. Not many promote its partners though so it'll be hard to find such a benefit.

It often depends on the type of content as to whether it's beneficial or not. One thing that partnership with a network helps with is the adsense dance. You may never have experienced it, but game channels do all the time. Upload, monetize, wait, wait, wait, some approved for monetization and some not, almost at random, submit appeal, might succeed, might not. It's a real pain in the a**e, whereas network "claiming" eliminates the dance. This is especially helpful with the subscriber "burst" views that come right after a video has been uploaded as with adsense they aren't necessarily monetized yet.

GKart64 did a pretty good synopsis over how network ads can pay better than adsense. Do they always? no but the potential is there and that extra added effort is part of what the network is keeping their portion of revenue for.

I think a good portion of the "deceptive" appearance is just innocent ignorance. A lot of "networks" don't really know how it all works and just repeat the marketing line that pulls in kiddies by the hundreds.
