Very Bad CPM with Machinima - What should I do?

Oh we have heard a lot about Machinima. In particular CPM's as low as this. Theres nothing you really can do I'm afraid, unless you wait it out and sign elsewhere.

But you should note, like other people are saying. Have you took the time to check your percentage of monetized views? If it is something low then that could be the reason for such a low CPM. Also, you should note that since a lot of your views come from Spanish Speaking countries, this could lower your CPM because these are countries where CPM's are low because of advert reasons.

I know about that a non english audience will make me getting less CPM, that's why I posted it. About the monetized views I have all my videos monetized, and about 40% of the views shows an ad. I don't know if that is very low or not.

Yes that is below average, do you actually have access to a direct quote of your CPM? Because don't Machinima disable your "estimated earnings" tab? If not you can go on ad performance and check your CPM.

It says 2,41 dollars , but that is gross income. From that I get 0,86 CPM (one part is taken by youtube and the other from machinima). I though that CPM was all views not only views with ads, thank you for telling me that. Anyway, 0.86 CPM is still pretty bad, even worse in euros xD.

2.41 is your CPM then, after cuts = RPM not CPM. 2.41 CPM is respectable considering your % of non English speaking viewers.

Ahmm, I didn't know that. I though CPM was what they pay you per thousand views, because when people talked about machinima with flat 2 dollars cpm they were saying that machinima pays you 2 dollars per thousand views. I had a misconception here.

So the problem here is that my monetized views rate is low. Do you guys know if there is a way to fix this? And do you think I should leave machinima and try with another network or stay with them?

You are locked into Machinima so there isn't much you can do really.

Yes, we could make another channel and try to apply with other network, since we are 4 one of my friends could sign the contract. Our suscriber base is very active so we would not have problems to get the same views in 4-5 months if we inform them correctly, better to wait half year and entering a better network than getting stuck 3 years.

Your CPM will most likely never be high with your lack of English speaking viewers.

To be honest, it's always going to be low until you target English speaking countries where more ad money gets spent.

True facts mate.:/ Since you are 4 guys, why not make a sched. What's your schedule in uploading anyway? Make an english video once in a week if you're uploading everyday.
