I would say that it is relative, as well as it may work it may not... It's a matter of you trying it out for yourself and seeing if there's better progress in the medium term.

My friend's, (former YTTalker actually), channel had well over 100k subs back in 2013 and they always posted 2x a day. 3 times in december because apparently december ad money is the best. I honestly haven't checked his channel since maybe 2016.
But then again it was like a team of 5 people running that channel.

If I'm able to reach 1 million views a month it would be my full-time job. So the hobby turns into a job. So I have to sacrifice to make it happen. I spent 90 mins per video, recording/edit/thumbnail/uploading. So 3 hours a day should be easy for a full-time job.

Congratulations to your success. You must be getting much higher CPM then I do for my gaming channel if 1m views/months is even remotely close a full time job. Or you have done a great job monetizing other stuff around your channel. Anyways good job.
