The videos on the right side of the page...

Forgive me if this has been covered, I tried a search but couldn't find an answer.

When you see any youtube video in a browser there is a list on the right side of other videos. Most of them are mine, but sometimes it is another channel, including competing channels. Can I control what is listed at all? Can I block another channel from appearing?

No, the videos there are ones that are related to ones of the video you are presently watching, they are also controlled by the users previous videos they have watched to bring accurate reccomendations, you don't have controll of what people can see on the sidebar.

You can adjust it somewhat, I suppose, by guessing. Maybe you have a tag on that video that is related to that video. Either delete that tag or replace it with something else and it might change, but no, there is no way you can directly change it
