Taxes?

Taxes depend on your location. In the UK you can earn £180 a week without paying any taxes at all. I don't know what it is elsewhere.[DOUBLEPOST=1372690743,1372690688][/DOUBLEPOST]
If she makes over $5.7k in income then she needs to file taxes. That's if she's classified as a underage dependent.

Wow you guys pay taxes at a REALLY low rate. In the UK it's about £9000 ($13,000) per year before taxes are paid!

The one I mentioned is single person over 18. You don't pay tax under 16 (I think) in this country. They also don't count whether you're married/dependant etc. That's the same for everyone.

This is to my understanding as well. If she worked at an actual job, they might take some of the pay out for taxes anyway, but you don't need to file until that limit.

How do you know YouTube is classified as self-employed? I believe you're an independent contractor for Google when using AdSense which I don't think is considered self-employed.

I thought self-employed was, for example, if you own your own registered business. Maybe I'm wrong.

hey just curious but is the money you're getting from a network untaxed(think it's called net/gross pay)? meaning when i file my w2 will i owe a full years worth of income tax on it?
