Stop making videos while on contract

I'm Partnered with a Network and I stopped making videos for more than a year and nothing happened. But they do recommended to keep making videos not by force anyways.

So my only question is Can it get me in trouble with the law, i mean getting sued and things like that?

As far as I remember the contract from IGN they won`t sue you but you might get kicked out of the Network for being inactive. At the same time the contract also stated what you need to do to prevent that and I can only tell you that the are very fair if you tell them the truth why you need to take a break.

nah dude, it should just say recomends that you upload x amount, otherwise what would happen if you died? they gunna sue you lol

Majority of networks allow you to retain creative freedom on your channel. ie. Upload whatever you want, whenever you want with no minimum requirements. They usually invest nothing in your channel, so for them to ask for more in return would be stupid. Most networks are happy to just take a cut of the ad money made on your videos and if you stop uploading, they don't lose anything anyway. Of course, if you're really concerned about it, be sure to ask them questions. And it should go without saying that you should read the contract before signing it.
