So many motivators!... the opposite opinion.

I Love YTtalk
As previously said, I am about 45yrs old.
Let's count,
I have
quited classic guitar and harmony,
quited learning italian, spanish, german and russian (although I regret quitting russian language)
quited on relationships, friendships and jobs through years,
quited on a profession as specialised technician (soil test electronics)
quited on enduro sports (too old...)
quited on drawing (not really good! hahaha!)
quited on alcohol when I exceeded limits
quited on forums after many enough posts
quited on loved items either throwing away either giving to others
quited on previous channel after sub /views manipulation (...oooops...)
...
and the list goes on...

the question is:

"why on earth if someone wants to quit Youtube, shouldn't do so?
his/her's channel will always be there if he/she changes his/her's mind!
Life is so more than posting videos on a overpopulated platform"

I think we all try out different things throughout life. We quit the things that just don't "do it" for us, and we stick with the things that "float our boat".

In my case I won't be quitting YouTube any time soon no matter how overcrowded the platform becomes, because I enjoy the process so much.

You can always improve on things. For the most part it's never too late to make a video that does really well. Maybe it won't be on the topic that you thought or wanted it to be on, but someone made a gateway video today and someone will make one tomorrow, it could be you. You won't know unless you make a video and find out. Perhaps the best part about YouTube is that the skill ceiling is so low. You don't have to have a professional production team or even be an expert on what you're talking about, you just have to make content that people want to see.. It's easy to get discouraged, but remember you don't need to be the best, you just need to make the content people want to watch.

I mean if you don't enjoy YouTube at all then don't make content. However if it's just the channel growth that's discouraging, all the information you need to succeed is out there, you just have to find it. People are succeeding every day, and if you made the right content the chance is very real that it could be you. Age really doesn't matter, the right video can change everything, and it might take 2 hours to make who knows.

If you want to quit YouTube quit. I for one will not do anything that does not bring me joy anymore. YouTube has given me joy most of the time, and that is why I still do this thing. Giving up on making it big was a hard thing that almost made me quit, but doing it as a hobby takes all the stress out of it.

Maybe i put words in wrong order.
I don,t want to quit Youtube. No drama here.
It is my hobby.
I just see so many "don,t quit" articles /posts
That it seemed right to my mind to make a
"Do as you wish don,t listen to anyone" post.

:)

If people want to quite youtube they have the right to do so, nobody’s forcing them to make videos just like most hobbies people tend to get bored with it after awhile. I use to make jewelry every since I was a kid and I stoped around the age 15 I believe, I just lost interest in it. I might go back to making jewelry again I’m not sure. Most people give up youtube because they think their not going to make it or they think nobody likes their videos, but they still want to make videos but they choose not to because of their negative thinking and that’s why there’s so many things that tell people not to give up on their dreams if they want it bad enough go for it!

nobody’s forcing them to make videos

eh... how many posts do you read going: give me ideas! what should I upload? etc...
Maybe it is like facebook in earlier years, you had to have an account,
you had to upload cool photos, you had to post "wise" words and so...
(Maybe I am wrong though... totally different age)

Well you’re serious about making videos, it does feel like you have to do upload every week have a cool Instagram picture, keep up with the latest sociol media because you’re serious about making videos. But for the people who really don’t like doing any of that I think youtube isn’t for them as a job unless their just it for the fun of it and not care if their channel grows or not than they don’t really have to worry about doing any of that stuff.
