"Shows" Feature under Video Manager

A show is like a playlist but much more advanced. You can create episodes and seasons and if people like your show they can subscribe to it!

With shows you can get allot of views because it has priority in search!(just give the show a unique name). A chunk of my daily views are coming from Shows. Its a awesome feature.

Make a guide on this pleaseeeee. I want to check the features on it in action

Like others have said, Shows are basically YouTube's attempt to get TV-quality programming on YouTube. It's a partner-only feature that allows creators to make a playlist with seasons, names of producers/directors/other staff, and other information. It's good to utilize shows when you can, as they hold higher search weight than normal playlists. In addition, they allow you to reserve YouTube URLs, so if you make videos on an indie game or something, you can reserve youtube.com/[indie game name].

Thank you (and everyone else) for the awesome insight! Should I Have Playlists and Shows then?

It's probably best to have both, as it'll be easier to get to the list of episodes from your channel with a playlist, and you'll have higher search rankings with a show.

Alright then, I'm gonna see if I can find any bigger you tubers with shows and go off those for examples :)

From what I was aware of this was only available to people with networks and certain networks who enabled it. It's a feature I really want but apparently it was getting removed according to some and it's not available to newbies. My reason for wanting it is that people can sub to the shows they like the most, it helps as you can see what shows gets the most subs, views etc... and people who don't want to watch your other content (it happens) can stick to viewing only the content they like without having to go through your entire channel to find the videos, especially if you release a lot of different 1s. It can also act as break points for different seasons. I'm taking a break from GTA 5 on 1 of my channels but I have no official way to section it off, unless I literally want to go through a bunch of videos individually and add "season 1 or S1" to their titles and then on the last video type "Season finale" lol not a terrible thing to do but would be nice to have it done in a more official way so that I can break LPs apart to work on other LPs without having to rely on making a video just to inform subs. Honestly, if it were me, I'd take advantage of it now, even if they remove it later on, it can't hurt to try using it as well, from the UI I saw in your screenshot, I can already see how to use it. Omg the tags section would be freaking amazing, I hate having to copy and paste all the tags when I upload groups of videos from different series'. If I recall you liked to have multiple shows on your channel each on a different day.

If they do remove the shows feature I can only hope they take the features within it and apply it to playlists because the shows feature seems pretty convenient to me.

*Bump* have they removed shows now? I swear it's been there for month, and now that I have a series where I need it... it's no longer there xD

It could have been removed - it was a network exclusive feature once, but I'm not sure because I'm partnered myself.
