Should you add monetization to videos?

I know alot of people stay away from it completely because fans get pi**ed off with ads but in reality if you can get paid to make videos, you would make more videos. So surly fans would prefer that.

What do you guys do? and is it effective? and do you receive hate in the comments for it?

If your getting a reasonable amount of views per day to make it worthwhile then yes you should monetize your videos, I've never had a problem with viewers complaining about ad's to me before.
 
For a fledgeling channel there is really no point, you will earn bugger all and you risk copyright strikes because you are a gaming channel. I'd wait and grow your channel until you can get partnered, but NOT with AwesomenessTV stay away from them.
Also get up to scratch with fair use and how it works with gaming footage and commentary.

Those who hate Ads enough will simply turn on AdBlock, you might get one or two 'oh ffs i hate adz' comment, but just ignore it.
 
Yes it is worth it.. I mean you work hard for your videos and after 5 seconds of an add the viewer can click skip add. They need to get over it.

They partner people with next to no views/subscribers and have a 100$ threshold so most people never even hit the threshold whilst under contract with them.

They are a network who partner anyone and everyone (even with 0 subs and 0 views), and this is a bad thing because you're in a 2 year contract and you won't earn any money, but they will (there is a threshold of $100 that you must reach before you earn anything and if you're getting, say, 10 views a day, it'll take you about 15 years to see any money). So it's best to avoid them.
