Should I Get Partnered?

But if the said that they pay higher than most networks, wouldnt it be a good deal? Theyre average is about 4CPM, 4$ per 1000 views

They can say a lot of things. What matters is what is written down in the contract. A lot of networks have an artificial CPM limit. Like even if you gets ads on your video that pay 10CPM, it could say in the contract that your limit is 5CPM and your percentage is taken from that 5CPM instead of 10. That would mean that the network gets the majority of the money from ads on your video. All of this is obviously an example.

Check and double check:

- If you have a CPM cap, how high is it? I would prefer networks that don't put a cap on at all, like TGN.
- What is the percentage of the CPM you get paid? The higher the better obviously and anything under 60% would be a no-go for me.
- Are there any requirements to stay a partner? Is there a certain amount of videos you have to upload a week/month/year?
- Are you obligated to mention their name and logo in your videos? Would be a no-go for me.
- Are there any other costs or fees you have to pay aside from their percentage of your ad income?
- Do you really really really want to be stuck with one company for 5 whole years? What happens if you decide to stop making videos in 2 years? Would that be a breach of contract, would there be a fine?

Carefully read the contract before you sign anything and have a lawyer read it over if you're not sure.
