Should I Get Partnered?

I have a question. I could get partnered with Acifin, but i would have to be with them for at least 5 years! Currently its the only network that i can join, but i feel that if i wait a little, i might be able to join another one that might be better. I talked on skype with one of the guys there, and he told me that Acifin is one of the best networks out there. He even told that they payed more than yeousch and worked better than machinima. I was wondering if anyone has any experience and could help me out.

5 years is a really long time. I certainly wouldn't sign a contract that said that I would have to stay with them for 5 years. You'd do good to just wait until more opportunities present themselves.
 
I guess it also depends on other factors in the contract. How much do you get paid, is there a cap, is there a quota. All that sort of stuff. You don't want to sign into a 40% contract if you can get a 70% contract in 2 years (imaginary figures obviously). You will most likely get a better deal halfway through your contract which you won't be able to take if you sign this one.
 
The way I see it...you can actually make money with networks. If your using adsense there is a high chance you will get it banned before you get paid. That's just what google does so they don't have to pay anyone. They will look for anything that goes against the TOS so they don't have to pay. Just ask how may people here who have gotten banned for "invalid clicks" I mean what the hell does that even mean? Google will tell you a different story each time. And if your adsense account get's banned you can't get your channel partnered ever. Networks depend on your money that you bring in so they want you to get paid. So I really actually wanted a longer contract to lock in all my benefits for as long as possible. I ended up getting a 2 year contract with Fullscreen.

I'm never going to apply for AdSense after my other channels AdSense was banned.

If your a full blown partner with youtube you can actually contact them so its not bad or anything if your partnered with youtube (full partner). But that rarely happens unless you have a lot of subs and views or live in a certain part in the world that doesn't have many youtube partners.
