You can use both HDMI and Component

I use the Elgato, very easy to use and supports older hardware from ps2 back to the NES or Atari. Can also livestream directly to Twitch

Elgato by far. The time shift ability is so helpful at times as well!! It will record in the background even if you forget so you can go back an save the video. It's also small. That's my two cents lol
