Share a single tip on how to be a better youtuber (for a video series)

I well known youtuber recently said, Lighting is more important than the camera. He thought he needed a new camera but once he got better lighting he knew it wasn't the cameras fault

If taking Youtube seriously, never do any of the following things:

For Small Youtubers: (up to 5k)

a: Sub4sub
b: Ask bigger Youtubers for shoutouts without having earned them.
c: Become a door-to-door salesman on Discord for your Youtube videos or your own Discord server.
d: Use a Youtuber's livestream to do the same thing.
e: Whine and complain about how you're not getting any views or subs in a Youtube video.
f: Rely on Youtube as your only source of income.
g: Let your reason for going into Youtube be of a materialistic nature.

For Mid-level Youtubers (5k to 100k)

a: Use your influence to damage another person, especially another Youtuber.
b: Charge serious money for Youtuber services (paid videos, sponsored content, etc) and take a casual approach towards delivering the goods.
c: Let the fame you get go to your head and do stupid things for money or attention.
d: Become cocky or condescending to your fans, viewers, and smaller Youtubers.
e: Say yes to every offer you're presented with.
f: Succumb to the social pressures you're bound to face from all directions at this point.

For Big Youtubers (100k or more)

a: Lose your perspective on what Youtube is and who you are as a person.
b: Take your fans for granted.
c: Allow your social status to inflate your ego, especially with that many people following you.
d: Neglect your personal life and relationships.
e: Think that your Youtube success will necessarily last forever and become complacent.
f: Fail to have a backup plan if something goes wrong with Youtube.
g: Allow Youtube to become all that is to experience in the world and shut yourself off from anything else.
h: Get into trouble with the law and try to use your Youtube celebrity status to get away with it.

Another thing is watch other people's content and see what they do that you like, and try to see if you can do it too. Not flat out copy, but take it as an inspiration or a push from new or improved video material for your channel.
