Seeking real stories of increased audience through partnership

Most large networks have a good sized hub channel that can act as a promotion tool. The problem is that most YouTubers content sucks and isn't worth the network tarnishing it's hub reputation by uploading.

There is additional promotion that YouTube does for partners. It is debatable how much more over and above Adsense, but it certainly is there (hit up Analytics and look for "YouTube Partner Promotion" in traffic sources).

There is also debate on whether partnership is one of the factors in the organic search rank. Indications suggest this is true however YouTube would of course never confirm it.

Thanks Tarmack! Yeah, their search engine is made of more mysteries than the Scooby Doo series, but I do feel like they blast their heavy earners a bit more than the small fries.

Mostly, the partner promotion is handled via the "featured videos" and "suggested YouTubers". If you google "Youtube partner promotion", the first link talks about this program. Now, even those with Adsense get some some promotion this way and not enough study has been done to nail this to the wall for sure but it appears that network partnered channels get more than otherwise.

And the logic makes sense. YouTube makes a larger amount of money from network partners because YouTube takes 45% regardless, but the network partners have the "premium ads" which also pay better. YouTube can leverage the Ad Sales teams of the networks which increase it's own earnings.
