RPM vs TGS - what is the difference?

@ Glitboy
@ Kensharma
Thanks a lot for informative replies! :) been composing message and did not see your posts before.

TGS partner here. The main difference is that with TGS you get a Channel Coordinater, who will tell you about promotions, collaboration opportunities, and anything else that can help you get more views and money. The requirement for TGS is 300,000 views a month, so you have to have a decently sized channel to get in.
And does the subscriber count matters too or only 300k monthly views when applying?
Thanks btw for all the info :) i just missing information here on forum about TGS so its informative to know.

Sub count doesn't matter.

Hey Glitboy!

I tried apply to TGS a while back. When I hit the submit button it said I have to have 30k views a month to be able to even send the application. At the moment I'm actually working on growing my channel until I have a steady 30k/month. If it's 300k then I might as well join a smaller network in the meantime. It's too bad if that's the case since my first choice is TGS.

Are you sure about 300k or will I get another message that urges me to grown my channel if I try to apply again but choose the higher number?

@Hatterrific
Thanks a lot for that info, makes a good impression about security!

Regarding fixed CPM - i can not understand how fixed CPM can be better - in my opinion it can be a trap.
Im not sure how it works but im trying to imagine (just my thoughts):

Lets say a channel owner been offered a certain fixed $ per CPM,
Then he probably will be required to monetize video in all possible ad formats for that fixed CPM (Overlay in-video ads, TrueView in-steam ads, Standart in-steam ads, pre-rolls, mid-rolls, post-rolls etc.etc.) in other words making his video(s) overcrowded with ads, and if suddenly after contract and monetization in my mentioned way, a channel owner see a decent decrease of his views on his videos, and if he suspects its because his videos became an "ad farms", he can't take away certain ads to experiment and see if they affecting your visitors.... maybe im wrong but i guess there is no flexibility at all - channel owner has much less control on his videos.
Because with a fixed CPM you always make a set amount instead of making more in December and less in Jan/Feb.

Your always gaurunteed a stable CPM with no chance of taking a hit on your pay. Pay is especially important to people who do YT full time, which is why alot are with IGN as they offer a very good fixed cpm.

It's 30k/month to apply but they usually don't even consider you til around 70/80k ish and a good following.

@Kensharma,
You probably missed to read my full message, my concern was this:
What about the thing, if a video, overloaded with all possible ad formats will decrease your video views overall and (if) you will not be permitted by contract to disable some part of the ads (just because its fixed CPM) to lower the amount of ad formats on your video in order to try to keep the visitors, and at the end of the day it may ruin your channel by ending up with decreased visitors of your videos who will get annoyed of too many ads on videos?

Having no control (no permission by contract) of what ad formats you can turn on and off is a huge risk in my opinion...

Im not sure if it is like that, not sure what ads you must keep turned on (i never seen fixed CPM contract details)

But i personally would like to have ability to control / experiment with the amount of ad formats on a videos while keeping on a pulse Youtube analytics...

Fixed or non fixed doesnt change anything as far as what ads you enable. You still get to choose all on your own, you monetize or not monetize, monetize specific ways, or all ways. I have had a $3 fixed CPM so I know this for a fact.
