RPM vs TGS - what is the difference?

Posting Mad!
Hello fellows,
Can anyone tell what is the difference between RPM and TGS (looking from the gamers point), as long as i heard they are from the same family?
(exept for higher requirements to join TGS, lol)

Just wondering are there bigger benefits when you are in TGS than RPM or its mostly same?

Thanks :)

I believe that TGS has non fixed CPM,also I'd assume that you can get MUCH more exposure from TGS since they're currently considered the best gaming network there is.

Your right TGS is better than RPM and are very exposure in the networking community like machinma and TGN

Thanks fellows for prompt replies,
Does they have same level of protection of gaming channels from possible copyright problems (assuming again that they both are from the same family)?

@Hatterrific
Does this means that RPM do has fixed CPM? :eek:

oh, then its ok, because fixed CPM rates isn't a fair thing at all :)

So basically only promotion of the gaming channel is the benefit of TGS?

How about gaming channel security (regarding possible copyright problems), CPM earnings, they do not differ between TGS and RPM?

To be honest I think fixed CPM is better than dynamic,but that's only my opinion. And I'd assume that TGS has more gaming rights than RPM since TGS is a gaming network,focused only on gamers. But I've been with RPM for over 3 months now,and never had any problems with games,even with games such as Dead Space 3,and trust me I've seens tons of people having troubles with that game.

TGS partner here. The main difference is that with TGS you get a Channel Coordinater, who will tell you about promotions, collaboration opportunities, and anything else that can help you get more views and money. The requirement for TGS is 300,000 views a month, so you have to have a decently sized channel to get in.

TGS starts at a 70/30 split, RPM starts at 60/40.

TGS you get a bigger hub channel, larger network/more well known.

Access to the TGS Forums. Stuff like that.

@Hatterrific
Thanks a lot for that info, makes a good impression about security!

Regarding fixed CPM - i can not understand how fixed CPM can be better - in my opinion it can be a trap.
Im not sure how it works but im trying to imagine (just my thoughts):

Lets say a channel owner been offered a certain fixed $ per CPM,
Then he probably will be required to monetize video in all possible ad formats for that fixed CPM (Overlay in-video ads, TrueView in-steam ads, Standart in-steam ads, pre-rolls, mid-rolls, post-rolls etc.etc.) in other words making his video(s) overcrowded with ads, and if suddenly after contract and monetization in my mentioned way, a channel owner see a decent decrease of his views on his videos, and if he suspects its because his videos became an "ad farms", he can't take away certain ads to experiment and see if they affecting your visitors.... maybe im wrong but i guess there is no flexibility at all - channel owner has much less control on his videos.
