I will not be signing the agreement yet though, I'm printing it out and showing the 'rents first.
But also because, I'm a gaming channel and slightly confused.

I know that you're not supposed to monetize game commentaries without a license (with some exceptions), right?
Does RPM have the right license?
Or can I anyway?

Anyone with RPM experience and a gaming channel as well?

I've seen past RPM threads, but none answered this for me.
Thank you for your responses in advance.

Well you only need the license to a game if you are going to show the cinematic parts. Other than that you can post multiplayer and stuff like that. Just be careful with ones that have campaigns because some of the footage and music is copyrighted. Welcome to the RPM family :).

RPM has a lot of gamers in their network, so i believe they have some license or sort of....

So you mean, like in that one part of Far Cry 3 when a Skrillex song plays, I'd have to edit the audio out?
And jeebus how they gon copyright cutscenes.[DOUBLEPOST=1365043222,1365043134][/DOUBLEPOST]

So you'd think. But I'm not actually sure. Haha.

Well it depends on the developers. Rpm should cover most games. They can copyright cut scenes because that is basically cgi stuff. So its their own actors and footage. The game play it self is basically different every time.

i'm curious, when u sign with rpm, which is a part of maker, and your a gamer, does that mean you're also a part of TGS, which is also a part of maker? XD too many branches confuzzle me.

Lol no. I think it just they use similar dashboards. Other than that they are two different networks.
