Risks of an affiliate referral link deal - Scam?

Thanks man! Point 3 is indeed the most interesting: if you make the video about building the shed and place a link to the hammer in the description, should the video creator mention in the video itself that there's a compensation if someone's buying the (self bought) hammer with the affiliate link? Or should a textual disclosure in the description be enough?
That's the only thing which is still a little unclear to me, no matter where I look. The rest is very well explained!

In the case of the hammer example, the only required disclosure that I can think of is the Affiliate Disclosure. I produce a lot of construction How To DIY videos myself and I include a list of the essential tools I used in the project in the discription and links to where they can buy the tools off of Amazon.com.
