How much are you looking to spend? Quickly looking they can range anywhere from 50-200$ (before shipping and handling.)
LED lights are pretty reliable, I would honestly just recommend reading up on reviews for whatever model you choose. They produce a fairly soft light and don't use to much power. They also don't get too hot. I've only used battery powered LEDs and not the ring ones but the box LEDs.
My guess is the more control you have over the light the more it will cost. My lights you could control the. Brightness as well as the colour temperature of the light on the switch itself without having to use lighting gels (obviously if you wanted a colour that was out of the range of natural light you would still need a coloured gel however I imagine some LEDs would be capable of changing colours as well.)

We use ledgo lighting for continuous. Works always and the quality is awesome.

is the ring light good for vlogging videos or can you use it for something else

Ring lights are "ok" it's very flat when you shoot through it. But you can also use it from the side, top etc. which makes it a "normal" light.
