Right,.. tell me this is not okey

So you have a work and you're making vids as a sideline? It's not a bad idea for getting much money but don't assume you'll get a lot of it since you're averaging 1K a day. I'm averaging 2-4K views a day amd I'm only getting less than a hundred bucks. January and February are the worst months too. I got 1.21-2.40 dollars per day that time. The threshold is another irritating policy...in my case. Just enjoy making your vid

Youtube is not a chore, it's a hobby, you need to have fun or else you're just faking it.

I am a fulltime freelance illustrator / 2d artist. So, my videos are not only just for fun. They are also a beacon for new clients, practice and creating new illustrations for prints. It is a part of my business. Sure, now i still have 1K a day. But just with 16 vids and 3 are not dong so well. This day i will hit the 1k subs.. and working on to make that 1,5 k next month. I think there is a lot of space to make money with youtube with quality content and create a passive income beside your real job. :)

Not sure if Fullscreen requires you to upload videos differently, but the second tab when you upload a video, called Monetization, has a tab you can click where you will only allow your video to be viewed if you can monetize the view, you can also take off embedding to your video so YouTube is the only place you can watch the video. Thus mobile viewers will likely not be able to watch it, but any views you do get will be able to monetized. Though I do agree with the others that growth is more important then money when you are small.

Thanks Remag,

I agree as well that grow is prio one atm. Ans yes, i have turned all the monetized options oN plus I try to use the science behind making titles, tags, etc. :)
