Review my GAMING Channel

Let's Plays are hard because for someone to want to watch an entire play through with someone, they need to like that person enough to watch you play all the way through it, if that makes any sense.

I agree with this, you must be entertaining throughout the whole video which isn't easy, first create a character or a basic base of who your are, this will come through as you make more videos, more people will be willing to watch you play a game, if they are interested and feel that your opinion has merit while you showcase your gaming experience through the game.
 
Live commentary + Blind Playthrough is really tough. So yeah, when I'm talking while playing, I get lost either of the story or what I'm saying. I need to get used to it.

How I look at a personality is what makes you...YOU. When you make a video for youtube...it's as much about the viewer's enjoyment as it is yours. I've said this to many gaming youtubers: picture the audience as your girlfriend. Now...would she be interested in watching you JUST play the game? Probably not. So what can you do to get her interested in watching you play? These are the questions you need to ask yourself...I can't tell you what to do, because then you'd just be emulating what I'm telling you, which will only get you popular to a certain extent. What I can tell you is to figure out what makes you enjoy watching videos, gaming videos especially...and try doing that.

Playing a blind playthrough without saying much may be enjoyable to you...but it's punishing to the viewer...and kind of leaving them cold. Again...picture us as your girlfriend. She's going to start texting...maybe she'll call a girlfriend...maybe she'll even just go home. That's us clicking onto another video. I understand you'll lose some of the story if you don't pay full attention...but playthroughs on youtube aren't about the story, anyway...it's about the youtuber. It's about YOU. That's what we come to YOUR channel for. Not splinter cell. Keep that in mind and you'll do better.
