It's seems to be a very simple little modification to the JavaScript; legit site, haven't looked at the code but it's very small, doesn't seem to be obfuscated, so it's unlikely to be malware. Also: it worked.
I didn't feel like deleting my G+ profile, so hopefully this will stick until YouTube fixes the problem officially.
