Ah yeh your right, that makes sense :) If I want to upload it basically means no access to the internet for the next 2 hours, as it slows it down to nothing

it appears so! Even that video took 3 tries though.. it's very annoying :') hopefully it's all fixed now though.. I emailed youtube support this morning (it's 3:57pm) and got a reply about an hour ago saying they where looking into it.. so I guess they fixed it :)

I upload mine directly from my Ipad atm so I don't have to worry about the computer going slow :D

My computer is usually alright, its just the internet that goes slow. It basically becomes unusable as its putting all its effort into uploading :)
 
I regularly upload ~2GB videos and it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to over three hours for YouTube to process them, just depends on their current load etc.
 
From what i have noticed from my personal uploading that less than ~4 gb processing pretty fast, but when i tried to upload 6-7gb files, they were just not processed at all (but i deleted them in less than 24 hours, maybe i just needed to leave it alone when uploaded and check in few days :) ), i thought that its because they do not processing bigger files or some kind of bug and always assured they are smaller than 4 gb before uploading :)

So what is actual youtube allowed upload speed?
It let's me upload ~1 gb per hour or so when my internet upload speed allows much higher speed so i thought its Youtube who is limiting uploading speed...
(according to speedtest.net at this moment i checked its ~30Mbps upload speed) I have tried uploading with chrome browser, some standalone uploaders - all uploads at approximately same time those same size files...

Now im not sure where is the problem :( im happy to hear that files can be uploaded so fast, just need to find that thing who is limiting my uploading speed :(
