Partnership Vs. Self-Managed ?

I don't really understand why everyone who is partnered directly with YouTube worries about being disabled from Adsense to be honest. It's a rare occurrence and doesn't happen to everyone. I've been using Adsense since 2010 and have never had any problems and all these millions of other partners are not having problems

i dunno why people would think that way it's stupid. there are alot of awesome channels that are not partnered. damn those people that think your not cool unless your A Partner..
Well I don't think viewers care. And it may have changed since partnership became easier to get with the smaller networks. But before everyone was getting custom thumbnails etc etc, I would notice alot of talk like "Oh that channel? They don't even have a banner..." and stuff like that, but granted this was when it was harder to get partnership. It may not be that way anymore.

NOT COOL! Sorry to hear you lost your channel to click-bombing. Do you think the cut they take (I'm aiming for 30%) is worth the protection?

If you partner with a network that offers you a good CPM then you will probably be making more than you would be with adsense alone , and then like you said they also protect from click bombing.

Mmm, dang. That's kind of a hard call for me. At this point, I'm focused on the longevity of my channel. I love making videos. A lot. But 30% is a lot. "Hey, if I give you a ride to the store, I want 30% of your red bull." I just have a hard time handing over such a large chunk, but I guess it's all part of the ball game.
In alot of cases you actually hand over more of a split with Adsense, they take ~55% or something.
