Partnership Grew My Channel???

ConnersCraft

I Make Video Games... :)
Sorry For The Long Post :)

A while back on an old channel I was partnered under RPM, and that channel had around 300 subs. Anyways, the other day I decided to email them and see if they would partner this channel under my old contract even though that channel does not exist anymore. To my amazement they were super nice and they did it, and I actually got one of the best deals possible. Since that contract ends in a few months, I basically have a trial period. A few days ago, I actually connected my channel to RPM. I had always heard and agreed that partnership does not grow your channel, but I have already experienced substantial growth these last few days! I don't know if it is a coincidence or not, but look at the stats. :) Those are my subs over the last 7 days btw. I was not partnered for the first couple days.

Also as a side note, my search engine ranking improved a lot more than I would expect. I am now ranking on page 2 for one of the most popular searches "Minecraft Roller Coaster", and I am above videos with over 1 million views. I have only 3k on that video. This was low on page 3 before.

I wanted to make this thread to ask this question. We have mostly all said for a while on here that partnership has little effect on your channel growth, but I have seen the opposite. My channel has seen massive growth in the few days that is has been partnered. Has anyone else experienced this so dramatically, or is it just coincidence? Again, sorry for the long post. I just found it interesting how much my channel grew almost 20% subs wise directly after partnering it. :)

I'm curious to know this as well. I've always believed it didn't help growth, but if it did I would definitely start looking around.

Ya I had no care to partner this channel until I realized I could without signing another contract and without being locked in more than a few months. :)

When people talk about partnership not helping grow/promote your channel, they mean actively. They are saying that a network will rarely go out and share your videos, or attempt to drive traffic towards it.

But by being partnered, you are pushed further up the search engine by YouTube to help drive more views to the video and make YouTube more money, because it is a business after all.

True. I just never thought it would be such a dramatic increase. I don't care if I am with the worse network ever. If I can got from 80 -100 subs in a week, then I am a happy camper. :)

There is certainly logic behind this, but I haven't ever seen true confirmation of it. Other than anecdotal evidence, has it ever been proven and if so, do you have a source? I'd really like to read more on it.

My source was another topic on YTtalk. It was a random one that was talking about partnership and how they could only find videos from people partnered with a network or YouTube in the first few pages. Someone then pointed out that this was because YouTube wants to make money from these partners and so pushes them to the front page.
I would not be surprised if all videos tweeted out by YouTube are part of channels that are partnered with them directly, or through a network.

I only have one problem with this though. The top 3 pages (the only ones that get viewed) are usually filled with videos with a couple thousand+ views. If your channel has a video with that many views, the chances are you are already partnered. Who is their to move up in the search engine against? It is like at water parks when you pay an extra $10 to "skip the lines", but everyone buys this and a new line is formed...
