Partnered with TGN! Whoo!

Dunno who told you that but that's not true. TGN has no CPM cap and CPM is based on the ad content, not the provider... Second of all TGN pays about 85% of all ad income to its content providers. Nowhere near 60/40. I have no idea where you got those numbers...
CPM is related to what network you are with because networks sell ads themselves. If they do a s****y job at it, you get more standard youtube ads (or worse, you get s****y ads which aren't related to your content which BBTV has been known to do)

Lol.... en serio amigo??? You didn't read the contract???..... you share your revenue with BroadBandTV, not with TGN..... 60/40.... and yes, there's a video where Awall explains everything..... including the Partner Revenue Split with BroadBandTV....

search on youtube:

TGN Announcement - Partner Revenue Split, No Lock-In, and RPM[/size]

I have read the contract, very thoroughly too. Oddly enough it doesn't mention any specific numbers that are going towards BBTV as far as I can tell. EDIT: I decided to take out some of the contract specifics I posted earlier. Long version short, the contract makes no mention of the rev share.

I've seen that video before actually but had forgotten about it. In any case I didn't want to join TGN for a seemingly high revshare but because they seem to be a tight and highly active community who help each other out. Not mentioning the 60/40 payout in the contract seems weird and not very proper though.

I wouldn't get too excited over TGN , like i wouldn't accept a deal with Machinima or TGN (if i was a gaming channel).

The thing that TGN does is that "You can leave the network within a 30-day notice" that's how they get partners , sadly :(

The support is slow & CPM is s****y in TGN. It really depends if YOU like the contract terms & support.

Being able to get out of it with a 30 day notice is a good reason to just try it and jump ship if it turns out to be horrible. I've only ever read good things about TGN to be honest.

And about CPM... correct me if I'm wrong but aren't networks, in essence, just glorified master Youtube channels. Basically a central place to collect ad revenue? The ad serving is still done by Google and YouTube and the ads are purchased directly in Adsense/Adwords.

I don't ever see YouTube networks sell ad space or decide what ads go where. As far as I know the ad system on YouTube works in the exact same way as Adsense (exact same system, same backend). This means that CPM is based on what the advertiser is willing to pay for the ad. Ads are then displayed based on keywords and some keywords pay higher than others. So no, s****y CPM is not entirely the networks fault (if at all). It's the fault of the publisher for not optimizing their content properly and using high value keywords (and there are rarely any high value keywords to be found in gaming related content, which is probably the reason for said 's****y CPM').

Then again, I am no expert on YouTube's ad system. I do know how Adsense works though and I also know that Adsense is used on YouTube.
