Overlaying advice needed?

Hey guys, I am looking for some help.

I am using Sony Vegas 10.

What I am trying to do is have a video where I am playing 2 people or more, but I want them both/all on screen at the same time so it looks like I am in the same room as another person having a conversation with them.

Does anyone know how I can create this effect?

If Vegas is anything like Premiere, you can resize the video in the preview window. Just place all video streams in the timeline starting and ending at the same time (synced up). Then resize each one and move them around on the preview window to achieve the desired layout.
 
Yes this is possible like what Tarmack described. Except in Vegas you just need to play around with the pan/crop tool and resize and relocate the individual streams. Each layer just needs to be on a video track above the other.

I use this in some of my videos to talk to myself lol.
