Only For You Bots

So, I've just noticed these bots going around in YouTube comments, namely smaller channels, and typically to males. They're are probably a lot more out there, but these are just what I've seen so far. I first noticed one comment on my newer video, which was an update video for my channel:

It was a very misleading comment, as the majority of my comments were very supportive, so I decided to check out their channel and see this alleged video:

And they have a pornographic video linked. Or I'd assume it is. I previewed the link by hovering it, and the URL that displayed was not on YouTube, so I refrained from clicking it, as it would most likely be a virus. Now, what I found peculiar about this is that there are more of these bots under different names. There was another 'girl' named Angelica who posted on a friend of mine's video who had a different avatar and name, but posted the same comment and had the exact same channel art. So, I figured it'd be important to bring these to attention, because these are pretty smart bots. It looks like they're targeting small channels they think they can easily manipulate, due to stats, such as gender, etc, and they can respond nearly instantly when a video uploads or days later. And a lot of small creators on this platform.. are kinda naive. Some people would actually fall for these. It's like all these p**n bots decided to come off of Twitter and invade YouTube. Has anyone else ever come across one of these?

So I must be lucky, because I haven´t got one yet! maybe I´m not small enough yet!
But I must admit it might get very annoying when they spam this crap on your videos! It might be worse than ordinary spammers!

Yup, that's shown up in my spam comments folder a couple of times now. Insidious, the lengths to which spammers will go to in order to fool people into clicking on things.

there was this one time bug in youtube where you can copy a channel full name but were not verify, these fake channels target their audience and scam people to clicking the link.

Now you know the story of our usernames highlighted, youtube is too lazy to find them.

I've gotten this one time, not from the same person but I've seen it before just throw in spam & ignore gets annoying sometimes ain't much you can do about it. You can report the channel and just leave it to Google to take care of it.

I haven't encountered this particular bot over the time I've used Youtube which is odd. I know I'm not the only one who's encountered bots in the past. I guess I'm just lucky to not have to deal with this type of bot as of yet. And what's worse is that they make it so obvious that they are not real. Sort of like those empty Facebook profiles with some girl who's acting like she's hot as a profile picture which was taken from someone else.

Well...let's just keep avoiding these bots and the trouble they bring. It's not worth it.

Yeah, sad people will attempt to do anything to try to scam you one way or another.

Speaking of which, I have finally got that same comment just a couple of hours ago, I didn´t get a notification that I got it, and I randomly looked into my spam folder and saw it there!
LOL! they seem to try it to a lot of people! but then again, the more they do it, the more likely they are going to succeed!

I don't think I have come across one of these bots on my comments on my videos yet. I went to check my spam folder and nothing there so I guess I haven't been hit by this yet and I am a small channel on youtube.
