No Intro's On Youtube Videos

After looking at my analytics I noticed I'm loosing 40% of my viewers in the first 10-25 seconds of my videos, and this is where my intro normally is. I spent some time watching some big channels and none of them use intros. This has got to be more than a coincidence.

My question is do you use intros? If you used intros and stopped did you see a positive growth in your channel?

There are some channels which do have intro but they are only a few seconds and it's about no more than 5 second usually from what I notice. The other way of doing it is having something to captive the audience first then do the intro about 20-30seconds later or just leave it out all together. I would have to say just try and make it work in together with your channel.

I have a four second teaser in the beginning followed by a 2.5 second intro.

Some video's I have seen that dont have intro's have a blooper in the first five seconds of the video before going into the main bulk of it, also may be worth a try something im thinking about also. Or taking the funniest or most entertaining part of the video and putting it at the beginning.

They're a waste of time IMO unless it is a full length film I really dont see people sticking around especially during the initial stages of growing a channel. Whatever you put first should hook the viewer.

I usually skip if someone has a long intro.
Especially if it's your generic dubstep Minecraft intro.

My initial intro was like 10 seconds but it was honestly so boring so I cut it down to like 3 seconds, gives it a little branding but nothing major

I actually like long intros. They're exciting to watch! I don't think intros are needed. They just make you look more professional.

Make something quick and short to brand yourself, less than 5 seconds, and like others have said if there's a blooper robert put it right before the intro, the blooper shouldn't be more than 10 seconds long

I used intros a small number of times in the past. Usually, however, I focus solely on the actual new content, lately by putting in just my music slapped with some animated visuals and either my logo or, preferably, cover artwork.
