I Think that your background and the channel design is good . as you have the partners and sponsors logos of each brand the same size to show that they are all equal. also the cartoon of you is also something that make your channel unique. even though i have seen many other use avatars like your it is still easy to ponit out which is which. as soon as i read the text of this post i knew it was you just by the logo ^.^

I like the cartoon character, but he doesn't seem to match the non-nerdiness of your actual persona.
I think the other text ads on the right are going overboard. Too much can be distracting.
