i enabled monetization for the perks such as custom video thumbnails, but i did not make an adsense. will this still affect partnership in the future?

Not at all. You can still partner with a network and since you're not monetizing with adsense, the changeover will be quicker.

When you connect it to an adsense it will be so that you will have to email Youtube before getting partnered with a network in order to get your channel released (and we all know how good YouTube is for direct support :| )

The ability to get Full partnership directly with YouTube was removed in March 2012

Thank you, I was unaware that you could monetize without Adsense enabled. Does this mean 'spam clicking' is ineffective against those who monetize without adsense?
