Monetizing Gaming Channel Just For Custom Thumbnails?

I will start a gaming channel soon.
So is it possible for me when I upload a video, to monetize my channel, just so I can use custom thumbnails? I will disable monetization on my videos immediately after, because it's not allowed to monetize gaming vids without a network partnership.

I basically only want the custom thumbnail option.

Can I do this?
 
Yes, but you can disable monetization on every video, even after you click "Monetize videos"[DOUBLEPOST=1370090293,1370090248][/DOUBLEPOST]But my question is, when I disable monetizing my gaming vids, are they still counted as monetized videos?

Yup. That's what I do really. Even if I don't really have that much copyright content. (But I'd be devastated if I ever realized I did! :eeks:)

However, you could monetize them depending on the company ;)
 
I'f you're a gamer you'd need to go with a gaming network like: TGN , Machinima , TGS , NG4TV etc. , cause if you d0n't have the rights to those videos , then you can get a copyright strike or worse :(

That is allowed? I just enable, but don't monetize the games. That is allright?
I just want the custom thumbnails, I don't want to earn anything yet.
