Parodies are different. Simply selling face-value footage is not fair use.

That was a example. It's right there on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use 'Common misunderstandings'. It doesn't completely rule it out.

GKart~ thanks for the response. Actually, I think the "estimated" monetized view is more accurate than the official youtube views and if you care about monetization... it's the only view count that matters.

If you're with YouTube directly, compare the monetized views to your Adsense reports see if they match up
