I'm curious on getting a yeti, but right now it's a little out of my price range. Is there any where I can get a cheap one, or donated one. Or a good less pricer substitute

haha it's nice that you can invest in a microphone nonetheless, we have a cheap but good enough microphone (costed around 50 $ lol ) behringer c-1U. It plugs through usb though, it has its perks but it does its job. I know it's not a susbstitute but just pointing out you can make it work with much less.

I use the Samson C01U Pro usb micrphone. It's quite a bit cheaper and I find it decent for voice overs!

I don't know if I'm allowed to link videos.. So I wont just in case. But I've used it on my DIY's during december. The Pinterest DIY, the Mickey wreath, etc. if you want to hear sound quality.

I use newwer nw 700 kit with phantom power and accessories ($62 total) and it works great!
