Microphone for sketches

So a couple friends and I were planning on starting some kind of YouTube channel sometime in the near future, and we would primarily be doing sketches, but I'm needing a better mic than the ones built into my camera, and I'm pretty sure the condenser that I use for voiceovers won't work for sketches that well.

Any ideas for what I should use?

I have an android phone with a great 4k camera on it that I use for the bulk of recording until I can afford a camera, and either something I can plug into that as an external microphone would be great, but I wouldn't have any objection at all to a separate audio recording I just sync up later.

I currently use a Samson Go Mic with my laptop nearby because it has directional recording. I picked it up on eBay for around $30 a few years ago and it still running great.

I DO want to upgrade though, especially with my new series
 
The video in my signature uses it, but I don't have a specific review video. There might be some on YouTube though
