Just curious, what happens if you dispute and lose the dispute? does that count as a copyright strike?

The claimant has the choice to reinstate the claim (most do this) or those that do not like it when a user disputes a valid Content ID claim - they will issue a formal DMCA notice to YouTube and have your video taken down and issued a copyright strike against your account. So the choices are:

Reinstate, release or take down.

dont mess with capcom lol. i was a newb and disputed one video on fair use and they denied it. no strike or anything. they tend to flag anything they can thats not backed behind a network
